This Virtual Language Resource Center is a learning space for you to practice English and improve your writing skills. We will use different resources to help you enjoy this experience and of course you will count on your English teacher when you need her.

These learners are between 13 and 16 years old and according to the CEFR, these learners are false beginners since they do not reach an elementary level (A1). These students are vulnerable population due to the social problems they daily face in their communities. Most of them live within a single-parent family or an extended family, in which parents are working most of the time. These learners’ socioeconomic background is 2 and 3.
Curricular framework
These objectives are supporting the Institutional goals as they might strengthen the development of affective, social and cultural skills, teamwork, interaction and communication with students. As well, these aims would develop technological skills that also support labor and civic values required to meet the demands of today's workplace (Marco Antonio Carreño Silva, 2014).






Thus, learners’ expectations and interest rely on the use of new tools and strategies to have contact with the language. At this age this learners have some experiences that can be considered to promote reading and writing.
